Volkswagen starts deliveries of Polo Legend Edition [Video]

To bid goodbye to Polo, Volkswagen made a decision to start a confined version of the hatchback, which was known as Polo Legend Edition. Volkswagen will only make 700 models of the Legend Edition. Now, the producer has started out deliveries of the restricted edition hatchback.

The movie is uploaded on YouTube by TeamAutoTrend Channel. The movie is shot at Volkswagen Coimbatore. They delivered the final 8 Polos of the city. All 8 Polos had been the Legend Edition. In the online video, we can see new homeowners slicing a cake and getting supply of their new Polos.

The Legend Edition will come with some adjustments when compared to the common Polo. All of them are cosmetic variations. It was priced at Rs. 10.25 lakhs ex-showroom and is dependent on the top-spec GT TSI variant.

As we can see in the online video, there is Legend branding on the front fenders and on the tailgate also. The doorways have black colored decals. Then there are some trims that are completed in black. For instance, the exterior rearview mirrors, roof and rear spoiler.

There are no mechanical modifications to the Polo Legend Edition. So, it arrives with a 1.-litre, a few-cylinder, TSI petrol motor that has been turbocharged. It produces a max electricity output of 110 PS and a peak torque output of 175 Nm. The only gearbox alternative for the Polo Legend Version is a 6-speed torque converter automated transmission.

While, there is also a 6-velocity manual gearbox on offer that is offered on the standard variant. Volkswagen also employed to provide a 1.-litre, a few-cylinder obviously aspirated petrol engine with the reduced variants. It employed to produce 75 PS of max electric power and 95 Nm of peak torque. It was provided only with a 5-velocity guide gearbox.

Volkswagen focuses on SUVW and sedan

Volkswagen produced a letter on behalf of Polo when they announced they will be discontinuing the Polo. The letter reported “as I (Polo) shift on, I pass my legacy to SUVW and sedan siblings. And I am sure they will take it ahead.” The letter listed here refers to the Taigun mid-measurement SUV and the upcoming Virtus.

Volkswagen Virtus

The Virtus is the replacement for the Rapid. It is based mostly on the MQB-A0-IN system which is also staying utilised for the Taigun, Skoda Slavia and Kushaq. The Virtus will start in June and will be offered in two trims. There will be a Dynamic Line and Effectiveness Line.

Volkswagen will offer you two petrol engines with the Virtus. Both equally of them will be turbocharged and there will be no diesel motor on present. The 1.-litre, 3-cylinder TSI petrol motor makes 110 PS of max ability and 178 Nm of peak torque. It arrives mated to a 6-pace handbook gearbox or a 6-speed torque converter computerized transmission. This motor will be offered only on the Dynamic Line.

Then there is the 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged petrol motor that generates 150 PS of max energy and 250 Nm of peak torque. This motor will come mated to only a 7-pace DSG dual-clutch automatic gearbox. This engine will be supplied only with the Functionality Line.
