A teenage woman was attacked with a sharp weapon by two motorcycle-borne burglars who tried using to snatch her cellular mobile phone but she managed to pull down a person of them off the bicycle, CCTV footage from Punjab demonstrates.  

Kusum Kumari, 15, was returning household from tuition when the incident occurred around Jalandhar-Kapurthala highway on Monday.

“The gentleman using pillion grabbed my hand and took my cellphone. I resisted and held his hand following which I followed them on their bike and grabbed the pillion rider’s t-shirt. He later on hit me and attacked my wrist with a sharp object,”

The girl, now wounded, did not back down. She ran after the bicycle and dragged the pillion rider, who snatched her mobile cellular phone, off it.

Passersby assisted the teenager someday later on and obtained keep of the accused and handed him around to the police. Ms Kumari received back her mobile phone soon soon after. The teen has been admitted to a healthcare facility.

Station House Officer Jatinder Sharma explained that the accused has been identified as Avinash Kumar, 22, and has been arrested. His accomplice, who was driving the bicycle, is on the run and a circumstance underneath Sections 389 B and 307 (try to murder) of IPC has been registered against them.
