UNION, Ohio (WDTN) — The Northmont local community rallied collectively to aid a guy hurt in a motorcycle incident.

On March 1 sometime after 4 p.m. Donald “DL” West was hurt in a bike incident in the vicinity of Park Avenue and North Jay Road in West Milton. He was rushed to the medical center with major accidents to his head and neck.

“What he has is a mind injury. So his brain really swelled. They experienced to drill to put holes in his head and relieve the pressure. It was rather critical. So it’s likely to get him some time to get about that. It is not heading to be right away. So he has a long highway to restoration,” stated Mandy Myers, 1 of West’s childhood friends.

The neighborhood held a profit to raise money for West’s medical charges at the Brown and Tiny VFW Put up on North Key Avenue in Union. The advantage took position on Sunday, March 27 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The gain showcased a barbeque supper, a basket raffle and a bake sale.
